Certified Bookkeeper

Certified Bookkeepers are to bookkeeping what CPAs are to accounting--the finest of the profession.
The position of bookkeeper is one of the most widespread and essential in the business world. In light of the many scandals at large companies making national headlines over the past several years, accountants and bookkeepers are under increased scrutiny.  As a result, official certification by the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers (AIPB) has become a critical credential for bookkeepers seeking professional advancement. By becoming a Certified Bookkeeper (CB), you can increase your earnings potential, enhance your standing as a professional, and give yourself an edge in even the most competitive job market. Certification distinguishes you from other bookkeepers because it provides written proof that you can handle all the books for a company of up to 100 employees--and that your bookkeeping skills meet the highest national standards. To earn the right to put CB after your name, you must pass two examinations and sign a written code of ethics.  UNA’s Certified Bookkeeper Program is designed to prepare you to successfully complete this process. As a certified bookkeeper you will be required to earn and register continuing education credits each year.
Who Should Attend?
This program is designed for working bookkeepers who want to increase earnings potential and gain an edge in an increasingly competitive job market. Please note: This certification program is designed for those who are working in the bookkeeping profession. It is not a basic training program for those intending to become bookkeepers.
