Your Instructor

Tom Ming, previous vice president, International Operations at Landstar Global Logistics/Landstar Express America, is a senior international transportation and logistics professional with more than 40 years’ experience in international air and ocean freight transportation, logistics, freight forwarding and customer relations. This includes experience in global import/export cargo transportation as a carrier and a freight forwarder along with an awareness for export control and dangerous goods regulations compliance. His operations experience is blended with a business development mentality for global supply chain solutions including specific analysis on freight expense.

Ming is a past president and an active member of the First Coast Roundtable of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) and the Propeller Club of the Port of Jacksonville. He has been designated as a Qualified Individual by the Federal Maritime Commission and serves on the Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce Logistics Advisory Group and Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce International Committee.Ming earned his Bachelor of Science degree in industrial management from Clemson University.
