Introduction to Sewing   

Gain the confidence and skills you need to become an accomplished sewer. You will learn the basics of sewing, how to thread, how to use and maintain your machine and how to read and use patterns. Projects will include making a standard pillowcase as well as an apron from a purchased pattern. No experience needed.

Required: Sewing machine with bobbins, dressmaker shears, seam ripper, thread, tape measure, dressmaker pencil or chalk, machine and hand sewing needles, straight pins, notepad and pen.

Pillowcase supplies: 3/4 yard 100% cotton, 45” wide favorite fabric, 1/4 yard 100% cotton, 45” wide complimentary fabric, all-purpose thread to match.

Additional project supplies will include purchased pattern, fabric and notions. The remaining supply list will be available on the first night.
