With its debut in March 2016, the new SAT has begun to make its impact with the class of 2017. With a focus on skills that matter most for college readiness and success, according to the latest research, it is even more important that students are familiar with the redesigned Reading, Writing and Language Arts, and Math sections. The new SAT includes a Reading Test, Writing and Language Test, and a Math Test. The SAT has an optional essay component, which some colleges will require. SAT questions focus on skills that matter most for college readiness and success, according to the latest research.

  • Focuses on the knowledge, skills, and understandings that research has identified as most important for college and career readiness and success
  • Includes greater emphasis on the meaning of words in extended contexts and on how word choice shapes meaning, tone, and impact

The Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT®)* is a standardized test required for admission to all colleges and universities. The SAT Preparation Course was created to help students realize their weaknesses and to overcome them. Our expert instructors will help you do your best on the SAT.

Need verbal assistance only? Or math only?

You can register now for verbal section (including essay) prep only, math section prep only or both verbal and math sections. However, online registration is only available for the FULL course (math and verbal). To enroll in math OR verbal only, you must contact our office at (904) 620-4200 or e-mail us to register.

Required textbook and supplies:

  • Students are required to purchase the following book and bring it to each class session: "The Official Study Guide for the SAT™," 2018 Edition (ISBN: 978-1457309281).
  • Bring your own calculator and dictionary to this course. The College Board* recommends that you use at least a scientific-level calculator for the new SAT.
  • Log on to for additional SAT information.
