Established in 2008 by Christine and Barry Janks, your venue focuses on rescued animals. About 30 rare and endangered species and more than 100 animals call it home. Your guide on this private walking tour is a professional zoologist who introduces you to the animals and hosts a feeding demonstration. The facility’s active involvement in breeding programs for endangered species showcases their dedication to preserving biodiversity. Among the unique species you’ll encounter are the elusive rusty-spotted cats, the fascinating red river hogs, the magnetic Amur leopard, and many more. Carson Springs shines a spotlight on lesser-known species, highlighting their commitment to educating the public about the significance of conserving even the smallest and most obscure animals. Debrief with fellow OLLIs over a sack lunch from home in the lovely picnic area. Transportation is on your own, but we’ll help organize carpooling.
