Your expert presenter is Marge Powell, owner-operator of Magnolia Hill Nursery. An herbalist for more than 40 years and an avid, lifelong plant person, she supplies herbs and heirloom tomatoes to commercial clients in the region. Powell is on the board of the International Herb Association (IHA) and its foundation board. She is a past president of IHA’s former Southeastern Region. A noted authority, Powell has published numerous articles in IHA’s annual Herb of the Year publications. Her interests include the history of folk medicine in Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia. Debrief with fellow OLLIs over Dutch treat lunch at a nearby eatery. Transportation is on your own. Parking is limited so we’ll help organize carpooling. Take a comfort break prior to arrival.
