More Than a Meal: OLLI Social

Gather for a Dutch treat lunch and some quality social time with fellow OLLI members you might only catch glimpses of between classes. OLLI member Bob Kastner, volunteer storyteller from the Tournament Players Club (TPC) Sawgrass, captivates our group with tales of the tournament's rich history. Whether you're an avid golfer or a casual putt-putt player, there's something intriguing for everyone in the stories he spotlights. Your venue's name pays homage to the British Royal Navy's purser, who was responsible for distributing ship's supplies, including rum, to the sailors. The daily rations, known as Pusser's (corruption of purser's) rum, were a tradition for more than 350 years. The practice ended on July 31, 1970, known as "Black Tot Day." Nine years later, the British Admiralty granted the recipe and brand to Pusser’s Rum Limited. Venue is accessible. Transportation is on your own. Parking is free.
