Learn about the famous Victorian novelist dubbed the “Inimitable” by his peers. We will focus on three of his beloved and classic novels: “Hard Times,” Great Expectations” and “Our Mutual Friend.” Discussion will focus on the historical, social, and political contexts within which each was composed. Although reading these novels before the course begins is not required, doing so will enhance your understanding and educational experience.
