Nebraska Innovation Campus (NIC) is connecting the talents of experts, companies and the university to create a unique culture of innovation. Explore NUtech’s mission to facilitate the commercialization and practical use of innovations generated through the research activities at the University of Nebraska. We will spend time in the Food Processing Center, where we will learn how they help businesses understand their target market, define product concept, substitute ingredients, resolve quality issues and ensure long shelf life. Formulating a new food product can be a difficult task as the appearance, aroma, flavor, and texture is critically important. We will participate in a sensory panel and tour the product development labs and pilot plants.
