The Dental Assistant Training Program is your pathway into a career in dentistry.Whether you are starting your first career, changing careers, or looking to enter the healthcare field, this program provides the knowledge and hands-on experience needed to become an entry-level dental assistant. Upon completion of the program, graduates are prepared to work alongside dentists and other dental professionals in the clinical setting.
Getting started is simple. No prior college credits or dental experience are required. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, possess a high school diploma or GED, and be legally authorized to work in the United States. Throughout the program, trainees learn essential skills such as infection control, chairside assisting, dental anatomy, radiology, and dental materials. Following the online portion of the program, trainees complete a supervised clinical externship where they gain real-world experience working in a dental setting.
Included in the program cost is the exam cost for the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) Radiation Health and Safety (RHS) Examination. This certification allows dental assistants to expose dental radiographs and is a highly sought-after skill among employers. Our curriculum is designed to thoroughly prepare trainees for the exam while building the confidence and clinical experience needed to successfully enter the dental workforce upon graduation.
