 The University of Southern Indiana’s College Achievement Program (CAP) offers dual credit to outstanding junior and senior students in more than two dozen area high schools. Through CAP, students meet high school graduation requirements and earn college credits, all while in their high school classroom during the regular school day. CAP courses are taught by high school instructors who meet the same criteria as USI adjunct faculty. Using well-recognized and accepted assessment center methodology, assessors observe and evaluate participants during a series of work simulations where participants encounter challenges and tasks common to supervisory and management positions. The Norwegian Foot March is hosted on the beautiful campus of the University of Southern Indiana. This year’s event will be limited to 400 participants in order to ensure a quality and safely executed event for the participants.
The Test:
The test consists of a 30km/18.6mile march (march/run) with rucksack containing 11kg (24 lbs).
Attire:
Approved military uniform. Field uniform/work uniform and military grade boots. The uniform must be within regulation during the march. Civilian events and where civilians partake in a military setting, civilian clothing is allowed i.e., long trousers and boots with a minimum weight of 1.5 kg (3.3 lbs). Rucksack with content must weigh in at minimum 11 kg/24 lbs. at both start and finish line. Rucksack/backpack of military grade. Civilian participants can use a civilian version of rucksack.
Certificates and Badges:
Upon successful completion of the march, participants will receive the appropriate certificates (both Norwegian and translated) and the badge. All participants will also receive a Norwegian Foot March T-shirt.
NO REFUNDS WILL BE PROVIDED AFTER PARTICIPANTS REGISTER FOR THE EVENT.
