Per NHA certification requirements, all students are required to practice blood drawing on each other after practicing on a prosthetic. As a prospective student, it is essential to understand these risks before enrollment:
Sharp Objects Hazards & Bloodborne Pathogen Exposure Risk
• Regular handling of needles and syringes
• Risk of needlestick injuries during procedures
• Hazards associated with disposal of sharp instruments
• Potential exposure to contaminated or infectious materials
• Potential contact with human blood and bodily fluids
To ensure safe participation in the program:
• Report any medical conditions that may affect participation
• Disclose any concerns about performing invasive procedures
• Comply with classroom policies and procedures, including reporting any training incident, exposure, or injury immediately to your instructor
