Now offered in a flexible, year-round format!
Participants may register at any time. Once registration and payment are complete, you will be paired with one of our instructors for individualized mentoring. Together, you will schedule 8 hours of personalized instruction, which may be completed in one 8-hour session or two 4-hour sessions.
We offer both in-person and virtual instruction to accommodate your learning needs. When appropriate, instructors may also meet participants at their workplace within the San Antonio area.
Participants will receive access to Canvas to access course materials, exchange documentation, and participate in follow-up Zoom meetings.
Instruction is led by faculty from the UTSA Center for Advanced Manufacturing and Lean Systems.
To ensure a successful learning experience, participants should have their employer's support to dedicate at least 20% of their regular work time during the certification program to complete the required project work.
Each participant must complete two improvement projects at their workplace. These projects are expected to produce a significant impact, such as at least $50,000 in cost savings and/or measurable improvements in product or service quality.
