The program consists of five days of lecture-based coverage of topics in Lean, Six-Sigma, Change Management, and Lean Daily Management tools and methodologies, and four (4) days of individual hands-on, on-site project formulation and guidance resulting in significant operational savings and/or enhancement of service quality. Additionally, each student must serve as a mentor of at least one other project team (guided by the instructors) in his/her organization to achieve significant improvement in cost and/or quality of services/products.
Requirements:
To attend the Black Belt Program, you must hold a Green Belt and have completed a Green Belt Project. Please submit your Green Belt completion documentation to pace@utsa.edu.
Black Belt participants have the option to attend the first four days of the Green Belt program as a refresher. The Green Belt course dates are from December 9 to 12, with the Black Belt program starting December 13. If you wish to attend please email pace@utsa.edu.
