Educators will be immersed in the beauty of the Riverwalk and the Cities Public Art in the morning led by Public Artist Luis Valderas and monoprinting techniques in our historic art studios in the afternoon led by UTSA professor Humberto Saenz. This workshop will merge art educational philosophies with methods and strategies that can be applied in almost any classroom with an emphasis on community building through plein aire drawing and printmaking. Educators will leave with new ways of thinking about their curriculum, innovative techniques in art making, 12 hours of CE credit and a new community of like-minded colleagues.
