This film-focused class is a DIY moviemaking experience; come be part of a mini-moviemaking crew. This class explores elements of moviemaking from scriptwriting, storyboarding, prop and set design to video production using digital cameras and editing software. Students will be challenged to create one-of-a-kind features and trailers based on their original ideas. Crews are led by advanced students and professionals from the UTSA Film Studies Program.

Students will create a short documentary in a style of their choosing, exploring different forms of documentary such as animation, mockumentaries, podcasts, docuseries, and more. Students will also develop skills and explore topics such as interviewing techniques, camera setups, and lighting.
