Rock Year By Year: 1958-1961

Continuing To Trace Early Rock N' Roll and Its Influences
Broadcast veteran John Jensen continues to lead in a year-by-year analysis of the music, performers and genres associated with and around the first decade of Rock n’ Roll. Each session in chronological order the songs and performers of a given year are examined in detail. This includes not only reviewing the music in question, but an analysis of the crossover influences of neighboring musical styles of the time: Country & Western, Rhythm & Blues and the Pop standards. Attendees have an opportunity to contribute to the overall discussion and share their knowledge, likes or dislikes of the various artists and recordings being featured. Previous knowledge of the period, the musicians or the music is not required.
