The Seattle Public Library’s Central Library - Photo Ops Galore!

In photography like all art mediums, nothing beats learning by doing - except photographing at one or Seattle’s premier locations - the Central Library of the Seattle Public Library. The building is one of city’s most famous buildings - designed by Rem Koolhaas, it has 11 floors, over 360,00 square feet of glass and steel, an all-red section plus amazing points of view inside and out. The photo ops are everywhere, in every direction, looking up and down. Zoom to explore camera handling and settings, but focus on composition, then apply what you learned on location, sharing your results for feedback form the instructor and everyone in the workshop.

1. Meet on Zoom for an orientation and prep on settings and composition
2. Photograph as a group on location at the Library
3. Meet again on Zoom to share selects from our Library shoot for feedback

For all skill levels using any camera - including one that happens to make phone calls, with an interest in architecture photography and any subjects. (The location is of course weather safe and has great mass transit access - light rail and bus, plus ample parking for a fee right under the building.
