Duke Ellington Vocal Jazz Workshop  

Rehearse and perform the music of Duke Ellington and His Orchestra with solos and arrangements transcribed from recordings by the director, Wayne Roberts, with vocal direction given by Ellen Cogen. There will be ample solo opportunities for each workshop participant and all will sing vocal harmonies to back up soloists. Some vocal arrangements have been adapted from instrumentals. Sight reading and choral experience are helpful but not required. Improvisational skills are not required. No audition necessary.
