H.E.L.P. - Exploring Health and Medicine is a hands-on residential program for any high school students ages 14-17 with an interest in pursuing a healthcare related major or a career as a doctor, nurse, physician assistant, physical therapist, phlebotomist, EMT/Paramedic, or other healthcare related profession. Students will live in a residence hall on campus for a week, attend classes taught by University professors during the day , eat meals in the dining commons, and be able to participate in fun evening activities typical on a college campus such as movie nights, game nights, and more.

Support for this program is subsidized in part through funding by the MA Executive Office of Education.

*A copy of the student's physical examination form conducted within a year of the program start date and signed by a physician must also be uploaded and submitted with this form.

Typical Day Schedule:
8:30am: Breakfast
9:30am - 12pm: Classes with breaks
12pm: Lunch
1:00 - 4:30pm: Classes with breaks
5:30pm: Dinner
6:30pm: Evening social activities
Hands-on activities will be a significant part of the student's learning experience. These may include but are not limited to activities such as suture lab, splinting lab, taping session, CPR certification, EMT simulation, geriatrics training session, nursing simulations, field trip to Baystate Hospital, and more!

Registration and Payment:
To reserve a seat in the program, please follow the steps below:
- Create an account and make the course payment by clicking the Add to Cart button below and going through the checkout process. When creating the account, please use the name and date of birth of the student who will be attending the program. You may use parent/guardian contact information for the rest of the profile. You may also call 413-572-8033 to register and pay over the phone instead.
- After making the payment, you will receive an email with a link to complete the required electronic registration form. After completing the registration form, you will be emailed a link to complete the electronic medical and liability form.
- The electronic registration form must be completed and received by April 30th in order to maintain the student's spot in the program.
- The electronic medical and liability form (including a copy of the student's latest physical examination form conducted within a year of the program start date) must be completed and received by June 5th in order to maintain the student's spot in the program.
