Recovery Coach

The Recovery Coach 2021 program is currently full, however you may still submit your application materials if you would like to be put on the waitlist for the class in case enrollment changes.

The Recovery Coach 2021 program will be a fully online program via Zoom beginning in September. For more detailed information about dates and times, see the link for the Fall 2021 Online Schedule below. Please note that the schedule is still subject to change.

Every aspect of the Addiction Recovery Coach Certificate (ARCC) Program is set up to give individuals the knowledge and skills required to be a recovery coach. The ARCC program is based in part on the nationally recognized Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR)'s Recovery Coach Academy. It is also based on the International Certification and Reciprocity Consortium (IC & RC) requirements through the Massachusetts Board of Substance Abuse Counselor Certification (MBSACC.) The Recovery Coach Program offers individuals an opportunity to expand their knowledge and skills by providing the necessary education, tools, and resources needed to become an effective recovery coach.

The Recovery Coach Program is a 66-hour training program offered over the course of 11 weeks from 8:30am - 3:30pm on Saturdays. The content of the program has been accredited by the Massachusetts Board of Substance Abuse Counselor Certification for CARC requirements.

This project is/was supported by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) under grant number: M01HP31281, Behavioral Health Workforce Education and Training (BHWET) Program for $552,613. This information or content and conclusions are those of the author and should not be construed as the official position or policy of, nor should any endorsements be inferred by HRSA, HHS or the U.S. Government.
