In this five-day course, participants will learn how to: identify types of backflow preventers, components, and functions; inspect backflow prevention assembly installations; test and diagnose simulated problems in all types of approved backflow prevention assemblies; record and report assembly test results. Emphasis is placed on preparing for the Backflow Assembly Testing Exam, but the exam is not included in this class (see explanation below). This class combines classroom instruction with ample hands-on practice in WETRC's BAT Lab.

Understanding Backflow Certification: The difference between WETRC Courses and WCS Exams
The BAT Courses taught by WETRC are exam prep classes. You will earn CEU for taking the class, but you will not earn a certification nor be a certified BAT until you take & pass the exam thru Washington Certification Services (WCS).
