FOG 101   

Fats, oils and grease (FOG) represent a significant operation and maintenance challenge for wastewater systems. This practical, one-day workshop takes the mystery out of hard-to-understand concepts that effect FOG accumulation in wastewater systems.

Attendees will learn about the laws and regulations that are relevant to their systems, how FOG is sampled and characterized, the practical effects of FOG in wastewater system operation and maintenance, and the best methods that can be used to control or eliminate FOG from their system. Learn how FOG affects the function of wastewater treatment plants and analyze the purpose and functions of various FOG control practices.
