To assist operators with their Professional Growth needs - WETRC will be hosting a live Virtual WOW Conference! The operators and utility managers on the Program Committee have designed a variety of relevant sessions—giving you the best value for your training dollar!
VIRTUAL TRAINING BENEFITS
Save money in terms of travel and accommodation expenses. You may access our Virtual Conference from the comfort of your home or office.
CONFERENCE ON ZOOM
The conference will be hosted using the web-based platform called Zoom. Zoom is a simple program and does not require an account. Registered attendee will receive an email with a link to join the Virtual Conference prior to start date.
We strongly encourage you to become familiar with how Zoom works and learn more about the program by visiting Zoom Help Center, prior to the conference date.
EARN CONTINUING EDUCATION UNITS (CEU)
This is a “Design Your Own Schedule” conference. There will be two sessions running at the same time - water and wastewater. This format offers you the flexibility necessary to meet your specific training needs. You can earn 0.1 CEU per hour of training. NOTE: You must attend at least 3 hours (0.3 CEU) of drinking water-related training in order to apply these CEU toward your Waterworks Operator Certification professional growth requirement.
If you attend the maximum number of sessions possible, you may earn up to a 1.2 CEU for water or wastewater. Attendance will be monitored one of two ways:
- If you are attending as an individual on an individual computer, we will track your attendance using a Zoom application and/or instructor interaction. Please use your own email when registering. This will be the email address used to invite you to the conference and allow us to track your CEU.
- If you attend as a “group” (i.e. multiple people watching in a conference room on one computer), you will still need to register each attendee for the conference. Your “group” will need to let us know who will be responsible for monitoring attendance. We will then send that person instructions.
For sessions information, please refer to the Conference Schedule.
Sessions identified by a water drop symbol on the schedule are accepted by the Department of Health toward the waterworks professional growth requirement in Washington.
Sessions identified by a square symbol are accepted by the Department of Ecology toward the wastewater professional growth requirement in Washington.
