iLead

iLead is for students who want to make a difference. By combining outdoor exploration with team building and decision making exercises, iLead will give your child the confidence to step into leadership.

iLead will be held fully on campus at Western Nevada College's Carson City location. Students will be self-contained in specific campus locations, and drop-off and pick-up instructions will be sent to parents a few weeks prior to the start of the program. Drop off and pick up will be closely monitored with a daily "code word" to ensure children are picked up only by designated caregivers.

Camp Director Rayce Malmed has been a teacher since 2017, first in the Washoe County School District, and, since 2022, in the Carson City School District. With an MS in Curriculum and Instruction and a BS in Elementary Education, Rayce brings extensive experience in lesson planning and child development to the iLead experience, with the expertise to foster creativity, appreciation and empathy. His experience in project management and leadership make him the perfect fit for this role. Children will interact directly with Rayce and hand-picked camp assistants, with small student to staff ratios to ensure a high-quality, safe camp experience for every child.

A parent handbook will be sent to all parents prior to the start of camp!
