AHA HeartCode® BLS

THIS IS A TWO-PART CLASS

• Online portion must be registered for via AHA website by the student(online portion must be complete prior to skills class)
• Classroom skills portion must be registered for through the college

This course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in hospital and pre-hospital settings.  This class includes the new science from the 2020 Guidelines for CPR and ECC and replaces the previous version dated 2105. 

HeartCode BLS is the AHA’s blended learning delivery method for the BLS Course. HeartCode blended learning delivers quality resuscitation education regardless of where providers are located and gives them more control to complete the course at their own pace. Providers first complete the online portion of HeartCode BLS and then complete a hands-on skills session with an AHA BLS Instructor.  Blended learning is a combination of eLearning, in which a student completes part of the course in a self-directed manner online, followed by a hands-on session. The hands-on session is completed in person with an AHA Instructor

This online class will give you access to an ebook for learning.  You will take a written test once the content is complete.  You will then be prompted to print a certificate.  YOU MUST BRING THIS CERTIFICATE WITH YOU TO COMPLETE THE SKILLS PORTION OF THE CLASS HELD ON THE COLLEGE CAMPUS ON THE DATE YOU REGISTERED FOR.  

Once the skills portion is complete you will be issued a course completion card which is good for 2 years.
