Please Note: Kids ages 8-14: Join Skiing is Believing at Western Nevada college for our multidiscplinary sport & fitness camp! Every day of every week, Skiing is Believing staff will help provide a variety of sports for kids to develop their physical skills and promote emotional development through exercise and community service.
Each week will include a combination of mountain biking, hiking, martial arts, community service & education, softball/baseball, archery, general fitness, flag football, inline skating and more! All sports are taught by sport-specific SIB staff and coaches. Kids in camp will go home tired after full days of truly enriching physical activity and social emotional learning.
Skiing is Beliving will be held fully on campus at Western Nevada College's Carson City location. Students will have a "home base" where they can drop their things, and be led by camp staff to various locations on campus including the baseball fields and bike trails. Specific drop-off and pick-up instructions, along with a list of what to pack each day, will be sent to parents a few weeks prior to the start of the program. Drop off and pick up will be closely monitored with a daily "code word" to ensure children are picked up only by designated caregivers.
Western Nevada College has partnered with Skiing is Believing, experts in children's sports camps, to bring their well-known summer sports camps to Carson City. Camp Director Meghan Ochs is the founder and executive director of Skiing is Beliving, and is certified to coach crossfit, weightlifting, skiing, and snowboarding. She leads a team of highly-qualified program coaches with extensive experience, and has been running day camps since 2018.
The focus of these camps is individualized attention and true coaching with small student-to-staff ratios. Your child will not get lost in any madness or chaos at these camps.
A parent handbook will be sent to all parents prior to the start of camp!

Please Note: iLead is for students who want to make a difference. By combining outdoor exploration with team building and decision making exercises, iLead will give your child the confidence to step into leadership.
iLead will be held fully on campus at Western Nevada College's Carson City location. Students will be self-contained in specific campus locations, and drop-off and pick-up instructions will be sent to parents a few weeks prior to the start of the program. Drop off and pick up will be closely monitored with a daily "code word" to ensure children are picked up only by designated caregivers.
Camp Director Rayce Malmed has been a teacher since 2017, first in the Washoe County School District, and, since 2022, in the Carson City School District. With an MS in Curriculum and Instruction and a BS in Elementary Education, Rayce brings extensive experience in lesson planning and child development to the iLead experience, with the expertise to foster creativity, appreciation and empathy. His experience in project management and leadership make him the perfect fit for this role. Children will interact directly with Rayce and hand-picked camp assistants, with small student to staff ratios to ensure a high-quality, safe camp experience for every child.
