Eight weeks is all it takes to discover what makes watercolor such an amazing medium! A variety of techniques will be introduced to provide students with the ability to create the luminous, transparent glow that only watercolors can provide.
We will complete three projects. No experience necessary. Palette included in class fee.
For ages 18+. No Quest membership required.
This class is for learners who can participate independently—processing verbal and visual instruction, using course materials on their own, and engaging positively in a group setting. If you have specific access needs, please contact Disability Support Services before registering so we can explore accommodations and ensure a positive experience for all.
Materials: For the first class, only bring pencils and a folder or 3-ring binder for notes. A materials list will be handed out and discussed on the first night of class to ensure you purchase proper materials. (Approved good quality paper is a must to ensure success - Do not bring cheap paper.) You will need your own approved watercolor paper and paint selection. Brushes are the biggest investment, and you may borrow the necessary brushes from the instructor each week.
Class will be held in the Kendall/Baustian room at the Senior Center on 720 Sprague St.
