Learn to Knit    NEW!

Cast on! This class will walk you through the basics of knitting and purling, reading a knitting pattern, understanding yarn and needles.  We start out with a simple scarf, next move on to a cowl (in the round), learn how to fix those mistakes, and finally finishing your project.  Students should purchase in advance: straight knitting needles US#7 or US#8; 16" US#7 or US#8 circular knitting needles; smooth, 2 balls lighter colored worsted weight yarn (one for scarf, one for cowl). Students should also bring basic knitting tools: scissors, tape measure, tapestry needle, pencil, paper. Supplies may be purchased anywhere, however, a student discount and expert assistance will be provided at Fiber Creek in Prescott.
