Pet Portraits Using Wax-based or Water Soluble Colored Pencils    NEW!

Learn the steps to create an accurate drawing of your pet and how best to apply the media. The challenge of drawing eye to hand will be replaced by the proven method of trace and transfer drawing. The students will be asked to supply their own photo reference. In the instructor's professional opinion, the profile is the least challenging for the beginner. Photograph your pet with a closed mouth and expressionless. Photograph in either daylight or artificial light and try to avoid cast shadows. The instructor will bring his photo reference and take the students through the steps toward a completed drawing each week. Students may choice to complete their project in either wax-based or water soluble medium. Bring to class a colored print not to exceed 6" in height on an 8.5 x 11 sheet of white copy paper.
