Introduction to Digital Photography – Part 1 of 2    NEW!

This course is designed for individuals that are new to digital photography. You will learn about what a RAW and JPEG file are and how they relate to digital images (photos). We will learn what Aperture, Shutter Speed, Manual Mode, and automatic settings, and how they are used. You will be introduced to Color Space, White Balance, and some of the settings on your camera.

We will cover photo editing programs like Lightroom and Photoshop and how they are integrated in the retouching of digital photographs. We will talk about how to display your images and see examples of photo book making with your photographs. We will talk about Telephoto and Prime lens. Types of photographs; Portraits, Landscapes, and wildlife. Lastly, Facebook, Instagram, Shutterbug, Zenfolio, and iPhone will be discussed.

Requirements:

Bring a digital camera in good working order with a charged battery and a CF Flash Card in the camera. Bring your camera manual, pen and paper and a willingness to begin a great journey in digital photography. And finally, you should be familiar with how to use a computer and be able to create a folder on your computer.
