Turkish Folk Dance    NEW!

Dance is a vital part of Turkish culture and is the center of almost all social celebrations. This class will introduce a variety of Turkish folk dances. Students will learn footwork and practice dance figures to learn complete choreographies.  Each class will build upon the next, with lots of time to review and practice. Please wear dance sneakers or sports shoes and be prepared to have lots of fun.  This class can be adapted to all levels.

Kirsten Maclellan has been dancing and performing Middle Eastern Dance for over twenty years. She performed with and served as co-director of Anatolia Folk Dance group in Los Angeles. She recently returned to Arizona after a five year stay in Turkey where she worked, travelled and studied Turkish language, dance and music.
