Wednesday, March 26, 2025.
Please reserve by March 12.

The middle section of the Hassayampa River, which drains the west side of the Bradshaw Mountains south of Prescott, is a beautiful, interesting and little-visited area. Spend the day exploring along the river (generally east of Wilhoit) including several short hikes, totaling about three miles. One of the hikes has a short and rugged (optional) scramble at the end. Explore canyon narrows, with waterfalls, historic hydraulic mining areas, prehistoric settlements along the river and take a moderate hike (about two miles) into "The Bend" of the Hassayampa. Archaeology, history, geology and ecology of the area will be discussed. Activity Rating: 2 or 3.
