ART: Stained Glass II

Are your ready to 'light up your life' with the intrinsic beauty of stained glass artistry?

Stained Glass II (intermediate) is geared for participants to further explore creative 3-D expression while practicing the design basics of stained glass art. Intermediate, project-based experiences (such as creating a jewelry box) will lead each participant through planning a pattern, creating a template, making glass selection, cutting out the individual pieces, smoothing the rough edges of the cut glass, and foiling the pieces together before soldering.

Completion of Stained Glass I or commensurate previous experience in pattern making, and cutting, breaking, grinding, foiling and soldering glass required.

Basic materials available in lab. Participants should bring tools/supplies including glass cutter, grozing and running pliers, and soldering iron (with stand).

NOTE: There is no class during Thanksgiving week.
