This is an intermediate Creative Clay class that builds on the basic skills learned in the beginner Creative Clay class, which is a prerequisite. This workshop is held at the artist's home studio, allowing for greater freedom of exploration and discovery. There will be a short refresher on the basics of hand-building techniques, introduction to several other advanced techniques that build on those basics, and plenty of time to experiment and create during the first 13-hour weekend. On the final day, our 4.5-hour glazing time will introduce more advanced glazing techniques such as oxide stains. This class takes a workshop format consisting of 13 hours of instruction on the weekend of November 12 and 13 (9:30am - 4:00pm each day) and concludes on November 19 (9:30am - 2:00pm). All supplies included in tuition. Previous experience in working with clay is required.
