Making Movies at the Verde River (Ages 11-17)

This workshop is for kids who want to learn how to make movies. We will start out by watching the film Viva la Verde, followed by a discussion about the film. Then we will make our own script and plan to film at the Verde River. Once we get to the Verde River; it's lights, cameras & action! Everyone will have a chance to film, act, edit and participate in the many roles that are necessary to make a movie. There will be a group film as the final product of this workshop and everyone who helps out will be named in the credits. Dress for outdoor conditions, including hat and sunscreen. Wear sturdy shoes for river walking. Bring a sack lunch and 2 liters of water each day.
