Understanding Your Constitution    NEW!

Get a better understanding of your U.S. Constitution, the ultimate legal protector of your inherent rights and liberties. This course is designed to take the mystery out of the Constitution and make it interesting, relevant and accessible. Students will participate in a step-by-step study of the presumptions, structure, text and modern alterations of the Constitution. Whereas law school generally teaches case law, this course approaches the Constitution as written and originally understood and intended as the basis for applying the constitution to the facts at hand. Our goal is for you to be more confident about your rights to life, liberty, and pursuits of happiness and to gain a greater ability to articulate your constitutional protections. Handouts will be provided. Bring a notebook. Suggested reading: Robert H. Bork, The Tempting of America (1990).
