Come explore the wines and foods of Germany, Austria and Hungary! Germany has 13 wine producing regions, far beyond the Mosel and Rhine Rivers. There is more to German food than sauerkraut! Austria is a rising star on the international wine scene. More than just white wines, Austria produces outstanding red and sweet wines and Vienna is the only world capital that is a designated wine producing district. The signature grape varietal of Austria, the Grüner Veltliner, produces truly world class wines. Hungary was producing wine long before the Romans made it a province in the empire. As with Austria, the climate is warmer than in Germany which allows for wonderful wines. Hungary is also home to the legendary Tokay, a late harvest sweet wine known as “The Wine of Kings and the King of Wines. Original recipes will be provided. Over 21 only, of course.
