Catalog > Spring 2018

Grand Canyon is a world class landscape and class participants will learn how it came to be. A survey of the rock layers and the ancient environments they preserve will be made. After learning about the rocks, the carving of the canyon will be explored. Finally, a survey of modern processes at play in the canyon will ensue. The class will be user-friendly, meaning that scientific jargon will be kept to a minimum. All that is required is an interest and curiosity about this wonderful landscape. Limited to 40 participants.
