This course combines standing and chair-based exercises, PNF, basic functional strength movements, gentle stretching and mindful body awareness. It's ideal for those new to exercise, those seeking a gentler alternative, those with chronic pain or mobility challenges that make the typical gym session a little intimidating. These sessions are designed to increase your ability to carry out daily exercises, preserve your strength and mobility as you age and view your body as a friend and partner in life. It may even ease some of those nagging aches a little.
Students can use equipment like light hand weights, bands, or even household items. The instructor will prioritize the use of everyday household items, like soup cans and towels, as alternatives.

This dance class focuses on the East Coast Swing, and introduces students to the fundamentals of 6-count swing in a welcoming, beginner-friendly environment. Students will learn basic footwork, partner connection, turns, and simple combinations while developing rhythm, coordination, and confidence. No partner or experience is required. Emphasis is placed on musicality, clear lead-and-follow technique, and joyful social dancing. By the end of the session, students will be able to comfortably dance several patterns and participate in a social swing setting.

Tai Chi Chuan is the ancient practice of bringing body and mind together through slow, gentle movement. Today we practice Tai Chi to promote improved health and well-being. You will learn Sun style Tai Chi, one of the newest, most gentle, and flowing of the five major styles of Tai Chi practiced today. We will focus on the mechanics of the movements, the internal aspects, as well as the principles that are the foundation of all forms of Tai Chi. Students report improved mindfulness, better balance, and more vitality. And we have fun! All you need are loose-fitting clothes and comfortable, non-slip shoes.
