K-2 Buddies will get to play with a wondrous world of fun and fantasy while also integrating phonics, the fun of rhyme and reading comprehension to stay on course for the new school year. Our buddies will wiggle into smooth reading fluency and shimmy their way through an exciting array of stories. Children will be paired in groups for engagement and will be provided one-on-one support as well. Bookworms will chomp through entertaining writing practices that will keep them interested and lively. This course will help develop a love for reading that will last into infinity and beyond!

Using knowledge, context clues, and details these adventurous roamers will be able to regale stories in their own creative ways. They will climb their way through themes, character analysis and the connections within stories. These explorers can efficiently compare/contrast and have a happy place to enjoy their love of books. This course will promote reading proficiency and literacy comprehension. Rangers will engage in fun writing exercises that will allow them to express their wildest imagination.

This hands-on, interactive course explores how we communicate. It covers the history of written communications from ancient drawings on cave walls to hieroglyphics on papyrus, to present day communications via written text on paper to text messages on our cellphones. Students will learn and create different forms of written communications from ancient history to modern day, and learn how our communications have evolved over the last 40,000 years.
