Hollywood Personalities: Their Roles in WW II

Following the war two veterans stand out: Audie Murphy, the most decorated U.S. soldier in World War II, and Harold Russell, who lost his hands while training soldiers and later appeared in The Best Years of Our Lives, for which he won two Oscars. World War II was the war that involved literally everyone at some level, including actors. German, British and American movie personalities, male and female, some of whom served in the military and others who did not, supported the war effort or acted following the war.
