    Acrylic Painting is a fun, wonderful, versatile paint medium that can provide a lifetime of enjoyment! In this class, you will learn how to express yourself in this colorful medium. You’ll learn the techniques of acrylic painting, including blending, texturizing, brush handling, detailing, stippling, dabbing, glazing, wet-on-wet, and dry brushing. You’ll also learn about color mixing, complementary colors, warm and cool, hue, value, intensity, and proportions. You will be surprised at how quickly your skills improve by observing and painting along with step-by-step class presentations, which make it easy to understand and put these techniques into practice. Once you learn these skills, you’ll find them becoming second nature, and you’ll greatly increase your ability to paint the world around you.

Possible subjects include: mammals, birds, reptiles, fish, insects, crustaceans, mollusks, and more. You’ll also learn about form and function, anatomy, highlights, shadows, details, proportions, three-dimensionality, value, contrast, and color. These principles of drawing and painting will help you learn to depict animals in a variety of ways, and you'll learn to produce vibrant, exciting, realistic works of animal art in this exciting new class!

You’ll also learn more about blending, texturizing, brush handling, detailing, stippling, dabbing, glazing, wet-in-wet, dry brushing, color mixing, complementary colors, warm and cool, hue, value, intensity, and proportions. You will be surprised at how quickly your skills improve by observing and painting along with step-by-step class presentations, which make it easy to understand and put these techniques into practice. Once you learn these skills, you’ll find them becoming second nature, and you’ll significantly increase your ability to paint the world around you.
