Acrylics, Beginning (incl mat'l for first class) - Cassidy

This course will explore what this most versatile medium can do on a variety of surfaces, such as canvas, paper, and wood. Students will learn the painter' s vocabulary of line, color, shape, texture, and so on, and learn about different styles of compositions such as abstract, still life, landscapes, and seascapes. Students practice their skills with their chosen project, which can be inspired by classical references or any other source. Because each student will have a different goal, the instructor will work with students individually in each session. Instructor will demonstrate techniques as required. Some materials included; a complete supply list will be discussed at the first day of class.
