Teacher expectations for students entering this class:
- Comfortable with basic French pronunciation
- Mastery of all regular -ER, -IR, -RE verbs and their conjugations in the present
- Master of some IRREGULAR verb conjugations in the present tense: aller, avoir, etre, faire, prendre, vouloir, pouvoir, savoir, dire, lire, ecrire, connaitre, mettre, venir, voir, partir, sortir, dormir, devoir, etc...
- Knowledge and comfort with #s 1-1000
- Conversational about the weather, the time of day, dates, and the 4 seasons
- Familiarity with vocabulary about the family, the house and furnishings, colors, food items, ordering simply in a cafe setting.
- Grammar: basic knowledge of-Reflexive verbs, possessive adjectives, pronouns, adverbs & adjectives, interrogatives for asking questions, prepositions, and the partitive.
