Horse Training and Horsemanship Lab   

In an instructive and mentoring atmosphere and with physical connection to horses in a training environment, learn and practice the skills and methods of caring for and interacting with horses in the Spanish California/Nevada tradition. Student will be paired with experienced and qualified individuals to learn about handling and training horses at all ages and levels of training. Lab topics will include groundwork, equine behavior, environmental care, health care and tack appropriate for all equine activities. Students will be expected to complete an average of 10 hours of lab work per week. Barns are in Littleton, Fort Lupton, Longmont, Broomfield, Indian Hills and Sedalia and hours are arranged directly with the lab instructor by the student. There is mandatory orientation the first night of each lab session.

    Mandatory Lab Orientation: July 7th, 5:00-5:30PM at ACC Littleton Campus

    Students must fill out this liability form prior to orientation

    This course counts as 70 lab hours and must be completed within 7 weeks of the listed course dates
