This course prepares advanced English Language Learner students for ACC’s Certified Nurse Aide program. In this 10-week course, students will utilize the Nurse Aide textbook to preview content and vocabulary with additional practice to improve language skills. This course requires considerable work outside of class. This course is offered through the Year to Career program, which offers generous scholarships and support for students who will continue their education in healthcare at ACC.

Note: This program is intended for students who plan to take ACC’s Certified Nurse Aide course and are at an advanced English level. The program Navigator will contact you after registration to learn more about your goals and to provide a language assessment. $50 fee due when accepted into the program

What You’ll Gain:

ACC students who pass this FREE Bootcamp will receive a prerequisite override to take ENG 1021 in Fall of 2025.

If you have completed Beginning English as a Second Language or if you can speak and read English at the 4th grade level, this is the appropriate class for you.
