In this 3-week long hybrid course, we will meet in-person once a week to set up our preferred image generators and learn new concepts, and will follow it up with a weekly remote on-line lab to experiment with individual use-cases or projects of your choice. Please note: most image generators require a paid monthly membership for any generations you create beyond a trial period, and require a membership in order to use your images commercially. If you suffer from Photo Overwhelm, you are missing out on the many benefits of interacting with your photos. At Yearbook Boot Camp, we tackle overwhelm head-on by focusing on one year’s worth of photos while using a simple, organized system for preserving photos and memories in photo-memory books that are professionally printed. Come to class prepared with one year’s worth of photos saved to your computer or tablet. Each hour of class starts with 10-20 minutes of instruction and tips, followed by open work time as you complete your yearbook. The methods you will learn can be easily duplicated to other photos.
This is an online class that will be held over Zoom so you can attend from anywhere, and access your own computer as you create your book. You will receive via email a Zoom join link prior to the class, as well as a document with class notes from your instructor after the class.
* The cost of the book is not included in the Yearbook Boot Camp class fee; this is due in part to the students’ ability to choose book size, binding style, and number of pages according to preference. However, students will be able to use a $20 coupon towards the book when printed following the timeline of the course.
* We will be using Forever to create and publish the books because of the high quality of the printed product, the free templates and software, the ease of use, and the guaranteed online photo privacy.
