This is an experimental workshop designed to push the boundaries of traditional figure drawing. Participants will explore innovative techniques and unconventional approaches to capturing the human form, focusing on movement, abstraction, and expression. Through a variety of exercises, from rapid gesture sketches to experimental mark-making, attendees will challenge their understanding of anatomy and develop new ways to represent the body. Whether you're looking to break free from realism or dive into more abstract interpretations, this workshop encourages creativity, spontaneity, and a deeper connection to the dynamic energy of the human figure. No experience necessary. This workshop is for all ages; model will be clothed.

This workshop will explore both traditional and non-traditional methods in watercolor and collage. Using various watercolor techniques to create colorful, textured and collaged vignettes, artists will then experiment and work with a variety of materials to create authentically rich and original images. These are great techniques to make one of a kind art. This non- traditional approach can be used with all kinds of art materials. Your instructor will demonstrate multiple media strategies. Participants will have fun with the playfulness, creativity and possibilities of these methods. Most of the work is based on play and experimenting. No experience necessary!

In this 2-hour experiential workshop, we’ll explore how using a camera or smartphone with intention can help quiet the mind, awaken the senses, and deepen your connection to the present moment. Rather than focusing on technical skills, this workshop emphasizes awareness, presence, and authentic seeing. Through guided exercises, brief meditative practices, and time spent walking and photographing, you’ll learn to slow down, let go of distractions, and see the world—and your own life—with greater clarity and appreciation. Bring any camera or smartphone you enjoy using. Wear comfortable clothing and be prepared to step outside (weather permitting). No photography expertise required…just curiosity and openness. Come with an open mind and leave with a new way of seeing.
