Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is a 5 week non-credit course that will prepare students to become a Registered Behavior Technician and pass both the RBT competency assessment and the certification exam through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). This course is hybrid with both online and in-person instruction with a BCBA instructor and will meet the requirements needed to sit for the RBT certification exam through the BACB. Classes are held Tuesday (remotely) and Wednesday (in-person) evenings from 6-8:30pm. Students may be responsible for completing the required competency assessment on their own after successfully completing the RBT course.

Qualified medication administration personnel (QMAP) classes teach unlicensed staff members to safely administer medications in certain settings where it's authorized by law.

A QMAP can:
Administer medications according to written physician's orders.
Maintain proper documentation of the administration of both prescription and non-prescription drugs.
Use proper techniques when administering medications by various routes.
Safely and accurately fill and administer medications to and from medication reminder boxes with oversight from a licensed person or qualified manager.
Administer medications only in authorized settings:
• Assisted living residences
• Adult foster care facilities
• Alternative care facilities
• Residential child care facilities
• Secure residential treatment centers
• State certified adult day programs
• Program approved service agencies (PASA) serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities

The goal of the Paramedic Refresher course is to provide a review of content and skills required for certificate renewal at the paramedic level. Included is 60 hours of instruction, including lab time. The course meets or exceeds all National Continued Competency Program and the Colorado Paramedic certificate renewal requirements. It is designed to refresh and reinforce previous knowledge and explore new concepts. The instructors provide clinically relevant information to help providers stay current on the latest medical and trauma management methods. This course is also an excellent opportunity to network with other Paramedics from across the region. Your eligibility to re-certify must be verified by you with the National Registry and the State of Colorado. If you are admitted into the Paramedic Refresher course, Arapahoe Community College EMS makes no guarantee of your ability to recertify through National Registry or the State of Colorado.
